Magical: Cinnamon, when burned as an incense, rises high spiritual vibrations, aids in healing, draws money, stimulates psychic powers and produces protective vibrations. Cinnamon is also used in making sachets and infusions for these purposes.

Medicinal: For relief of the symptoms of the common cold, boil 5 cinnamon sticks in 1 pint of water for 30 min. Allow the scent to fill the house. Sweeten with honey, and serve with one of the cinnamon sticks as a stir rod should more honey be desired. Works on the young and the old, but let kids mix in their own honey with the cinnamon stick and they will love this folk remedy. Tastes like a red-hot candy. This will also stimulate blood flow, open the respiratory system, invigorate the body, and act as a good tonic. Cinnamon is a very powerful astringent. However, it should never be used in high concentrations. Instead, a mild warm water infusion is best. If it is too strong, it will sting.

Parts Used: Bark

Warning: Essential oil often burns when placed on skin.
