Fine hairs on stems (unlike smooth, spotted poison hemlock)

Flat, lacy white flower umbels with a single dark floret in the center

Carrot‑like scent when crushed 

Because of these risks, forage only when certain of identity, and avoid ingestion unless you are experienced and verified.
