Medical: Fenugreek is often recommended by herbalists to increase a mother's milk production but should not be taken while pregnant. A typical preparation is made by decoction of 1 oz of the seed in 1 quart of water. Reduced volume to 1 pint by boiling. Strain and serve in 4 oz doses.
